Safic-Alcan has acquired Deveraux Specialties, LLC, a leading US distributor of specialty ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industry. The acquisition, carried out through US subsidiary, ChemSpec USA, strengthens Safic-Alcan's personal care platform across North America and marks a key milestone in its Life Sciences growth strategy in the Americas.

Founded in 1998 by Andrea Deveraux Jones and headquartered in Sylmar, California, Deveraux Specialties has built a strong reputation over more than 25 years as a trusted supplier of natural, functional, and future-friendly specialty ingredients. With a portfolio of 550+ active products and 260+ active customers - they primarily serve beauty and personal care brands and contract manufacturers across the United States.

Deveraux Specialties and ChemSpec are expected to merge within the coming year, creating a broader national footprint with enhanced capabilities and a strengthened sales team.
