Omya launches global sales and distribution business unit for specialty materials
Omya, the global minerals and chemicals company operating in over 50 countries, has announced the launch of a new business unit specialising in the sales and distribution of specialty materials and ingredients as part of a major reorganisation of the company's business.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Omya Specialty Materials combines a comprehensive portfolio of pigments, binders, additives and life science ingredients from leading manufacturers with the company's own extensive range of mineral-based products. Focusing on added value, Omya Specialty Materials will provide an extensive worldwide sales network for leading suppliers, resulting in one-stop shop for technical solutions for customers.

Omya Specialty Materials will operate alongside Omya Performance Polymer Distribution, which was created in early 2025 to focus on the global performance polymer market following the acquisition of Distrupol.
