Vinmar International Ltd., a global petrochemicals and chemicals marketing and distribution company headquartered in Houston, Texas is launching a new European polymer distribution business, Axia Plastics.

Axia Plastics Europe will operate a full-service distribution model, with warehouses in several countries, providing industry-leading technical service and application development support to its customers, the company said. The company will be headed by Jan Mulderink, formerly Managing Director of Vinmar International, who has previously held senior positions at Nexeo and Ashland.

As an official distribution company for ExxonMobil Chemical Co., the company will initially have local sales, technical and customer service teams servicing the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland, but plans to rapidly expand into other countries as well as broading its product and service portfolio.

According to the news release announcing the launch, Vinmar aims is to become “one of the world's leading plastics distribution companies.”
