US specialty distributor, Van Horn, Metz & Company, Inc. (VHM) has acquired compatriot the Thornley Company in a move that significantly broadens the company's market coverage. Historically VHM has supplied raw materials and additives to the adhesives & sealants, building & construction, coatings & inks, lubricants, plastics and rubber industries but the addition of Thornley will add coverage of a number of new markets including agriculture, life sciences and water treatment.

Founded in 1954, Thornley Company is headquartered in the Delaware Bio-Technology Park in Newark, DE and has a staff of 8 people. Van Horn Metz will consolidate all operations from Thornley into their headquarters at Conshohocken in Pennsylvania.
