Caldic acquires Betaquímica to strengthen portfolio and solutions for the chemical industry
Caldic B.V. has acquired Betaquímica S.A., a solution provider of premium raw materials for industrial applications located near Barcelona (Spain). The product portfolio and value-add services of Betaquímica strengthens Caldic's portfolio for the chemical industry and increases their footprint in Iberia and beyond.

Founded in 1989, Betaquímica is well-known for its range of additives, stabilizers and modifiers for polymers and rubber along with the dedicated technical support it provides to customers for products sold under their own brand. Furthermore, in water treatment, Betaquímica has developed materials and services tailored to desalinization processes, which is fully compliant with environment legislation. This unique specialisation, in combination with the extensive portfolio of high quality raw materials, has enabled the company to establish a strong position in Iberia and across Europe and LATAM through its export activities.
The company's laboratory enables the engineering team to not only develop products, but more importantly support innovative projects and validate technical solutions for customers. In collaboration with research centers and the University of Barcelona, the process innovation expertise of the Barcelona based team has helped Betaquímica's customers to drive efficiency and consistently meet regulatory requirements in their processing.
