Barentz acquires Volp strenthening its presence in the Brazilian personal care market
Barentz International, a leading global life science ingredients distributor has, inconjunction with its joint venture partner Tovani Benzaquen, expanded its activities in South America through the acquisition of Volp Indústria e Comércio Ltda, a leading Brazilian distributor of supplies and solutions for the Personal Care segment.

Volp Indústria e Comércio Ltda, has built a strong position in the Brazilian personal care market in the past 29 years. The company is renowned for their expertise in supplies for the personal care industry, supported by their strong sales force and their own development and application laboratories. The company employs around 50 people and is located near São Paulo in Brazil.
This acquisition bolsters Barentz' overall position in the South American region and Volp's expertise perfectly complements the current activities of Barentz’ joint venture Tovani Benzaquen and strengthens and balances the group proposition in Life Sciences. The current Volp management team will remain in charge of the business.
