U.S. full-line distributor, JNS-SmithChem acquires Gulf Coast Chemical in Tampa, Florida
JNS-SmithChem LLC, a full-service distributor of specialty chemicals and raw materials in the USA, has acquired Gulf Coast Chemical (GCC), based in Tampa, Florida. JNS-SmithChem reports that the acquisition will strengthen the company's scope and sales coverage, bringing complementary product lines and shared resources to the entire JNS-Smithchem footprint.

The addition of GCC will build on the JNS-SmithChem acquisition of CheMarCo Inc. in 2021 and further strengthen their position in core markets. Founded in 1957, GCC is strong in CASE (coatings, adhesives and sealants), building products and composites industries but also supplies to number of other markets including HI&I (household, industrial & instititutional), personal care and agriculture/food. GCC services customers from their main office and warehouse in Tampa, FL as well as a warehouse in Atlanta, GA.
