Caldic announces acquisition of Active Pharmaceutica Ltda in Brazil
Caldic B.V., a global value add distributor and solution provider of food ingredients and specialty chemicals for the life sciences and industrial formulation markets, has acquired Active Pharmaceutica Ltda., a pharma ingredients distribution company providing innovative products and solutions to the Brazilian pharmaceutical market. The acquisition of Active Pharmaceutica will help Caldic increase its focus on life science and accelerate growth in Latin America.

Since its foundation in 2007, Active Pharmaceutica has been engaged in the import, fractioning and distribution of ingredients to compounding pharmacies, enabling the creation of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals contributing to the overall health of their customers. With operations in the Southeast and South of Brazil, the company is one of the largest players in the region, offering a diversified portfolio that that includes hormones, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, plant extracts, vitamins and minerals as well as customized solutions which have enhanced Active Pharmaceutica's standing in the market.

The transaction to acquire Active Pharmaceutica is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals and this should be completed in the second half of 2022.
