Barentz acquires specialty ingredients distributor Unipex in France
Barentz International, a leading global life science ingredients distributor, has acquired Unipex, a leading French distributor of life science ingredients and specialty chemicals. The addition of Unipex strengthens Barentz' Southern-European presence, adding further logistic centers and application laboratories, as well as providing a steppingstone for Barentz'entry in to the North-African market. The transaction is subject to the completion of certain legal and specified closing conditions, including European merger control approval.

Unipex was founded over 50 years ago and employs a workforce of more than 80 people. The company supplies more than 1,700 ingredients from 30 global Tier 1 suppliers through commercial offices in Paris, Brussels and Casablanca.
