Omya reinforces its position in Asia-Pacific with the acquisition of Prima Inter-Chem
Omya, a leading global producer of industrial minerals and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals, have announced the acquisition of Prima Inter-Chem Sdn Bhd, a diversified distributor of Ingredients and Specialty Chemicals in Malaysia and Indonesia.

This move boosts Omya ingredient and specialty chemicals distribution capabilities in these countries in the food, pharmaceutical, animal feed and industrial markets. In addition it establishes a platform for growth in the wider region. The acquisition of Prima fits with Omya's strategy of acquiring complementary businesses.
