KRAHN Chemie signs distribution agreement for eco-friendly binders from Ecoat
The KRAHN Chemie Group has signed a distribution agreement with the French company Ecoat SAS which develops bio-based and water-based binders for the coatings industry. The cooperation effective from the beginning of 2020 includes the Ecoat's range of partly bio-based alkyd emulsions as well as alkyd urethane dispersions and covers the regions Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.

Ecoat aims to develop competitive and high-performing products for the coatings industry that are tailored to the needs of the market and at the same time utlilise as much bio-based or renewable ingredients as possible. The bio-based alkyd emulsions, marketed under the brand name SecoiaTM, are primarily used in architectural and wood paints. The brand InokemTM includes both water-based alkyd emulsions, primarily used in eco-friendly decorative coatings, as well as alkyd urethane dispersions for decorative wood and metal coatings.
